Good day folks. I am in need of your assistance. You see a few years ago I took my dashboard out of my 77 Scorpion which by the way was like cornflakes, but anyway I was able to get another one out of Italy. Upon receiving it I took it apart and had it reupholstered and now I am trying to put it back against the mounting plate or support. Initially it was riveted which I had to grind and or cut to separate the two parts. Now two years later I am trying to put them back together. I do see the holes on the bottom edge which at one point had the rivets which now I had to reinforce with fiberglass fabric in order to be able to attach it due to some breaking while initially removing it. My dilemma is how do I attach the top portion since it has been covered with new upholstery? By the way I forgot to mention that someone in my house did step on my newly completed dash and broke it up. I ended up using ABS cement and fiberglass fabric and resin to put it all back together. I need to know how many fasteners hold the two items together as well as the best way to put the two back together. As always I thank all of you for your input. Have a great day and take care.
