Hi Everyone, very interesting to see a good argument about Delta HF Turbos, Pulsars and Integrales! I'm 20 years old, owned three Lancia Delta's (1300, 1.6ie - very rare and currently on a 1991 HF Turbo IE - in the photo section) - best one out the lot? 1300 of course! Joking! Whoever said that you need the bank manager as your best friend when owning a 1600cc Delta HF Turbo was right!

I have had to replace the whole rear anti-roll bar assembly including bushes and clamps, the front a.r.bar needs fixing, the car is going into FIATS tomorrow morning to check the trailing arms and tie rods - causing VERY VERY bad handlng, the wheel arch turrets had rotted so they have been shotblasted, and finally the car has visited a bodyshop for a nice new coat of red lipgloss on the doors and bonnet vents - but they are loveable cars!

Does anybody know of a complete uprated suspension kit available for this car, or am i just pushing it now?! Also if anyone is breaking a Turbo with the optional computer check panel, I am in desperate need of a coolant level sensor (black bit that sits on the reservoir tank)!

Hope I haven't put anyone off buying the 1600 Delta Turbo! My only advice is if you are 20 like me and earn a small pay packet (like me), stear clear!

(Hope someone can help!)

Cheers Guys,
Tony.

Hello Tony,
Yes I can tell that you these Deltas!
In my experience the GTie is the sensible/best version but as you say the HF is fun, fun, fun and worth all that expense. I remember a you guy like you saying to me that wanted an HF Turbo but couldn't afford the insurance - I didn't feel so bad about being about twice his age!
Are you sure that it is the sensor that is dud, it is usually the wiring/connector. To avoid the lamp being on you can simply short the wires together. However, the UK HFie didn't have the check panel so what's the story with yours?

Leo (Met black HFie)
(Also have Met black 8V integrale but that is too boring!)
