Hoping that someone with a VX would be kind enough to have a look at their car and save me a whole lot of time trying to figure out the mess I have in the following photos please. Everything shown here is at the cambelt end of the engine (drivers side for RHD car).

Trying to work out which wire (1) or (2) is the one that connects to the grey outer headlamp wire shown on the left and then where the other one goes?
Also where does connector (3) go and what is it for (has black, grey and blue/white wires)?
Wire 1 comes from one of the terminals in connector 3.

I'm wondering what these wires, the relay and the fuse are for and what they should be connected to? Perhaps on my car they don't go anywhere since I have a coupe' not an HPE and all my carb plumbing/solenoid valve stuff has been removed. As you can probably see, they all come from one bundle of wires that ends near the power steering reservoir.

The Relay in Picture 2 controls the electrovalve which switches between the 3mm and 1.4mm fuel supply to alleviate hot starting problems. The rest of the unconnected wires look like they should be pluged into the plumbing you've removed, i.e. the electrovalve and bimetaliic switch.
I'm due to go and have a fiddle with my car on Monday so will take some pictures of the offending areas so you can (hopefully!) match up the wiring to your car.

Happy new year for everybody!
The #3 connector is the same like supply of bosch TSZ ignition system. Blk- GND, GRY- #15 (run) , blue/wht- tachometer signal. This connector is used in all carb betas, I’ve seen.
Two gray wires near left headlamps is connectors for VX fuel pump crash circuit breaker-I’ve seen this on Travi VX some years ago. Gray wire is going to fuel tank.

Thanks guys. Ricky, pictures would be a great help for future reference. I fairly sure that I didn't have any of the wires in picture 2 connected but
since I've ended up with the strays in picture 1 I started to wonder.

Dmitry, good to hear you again. You've been quiet lately. I'll look at my diagrams and see if I can find the circuit you mentioned. I've managed to figure out a fair amount of the Beta's wiring over the past few years but this one is new to me.
