A couple of snowy pictures, I have been using the old girl in the snow and find that she is better than my modern car for the snow!

Very Nice! Those are some of the best pictures of a Flavia that I've seen. My first thought is that I didn't know it snows in the U.K. My second thought is that it looks a bit like Mineral Point, Wisconsin - that's a town near me that was first settled by Cornish miners.

We are expecting 5 inches tonight. I hope they don't use salt on the roads there like they do here...

This was the trip home from York when I bought the Fulvia last December. Up and over the "Col du Jedburgh" on the Scotland/England border. We have nearly 3 feet of snow in Perth just now and it's still dumping down in the mountains.

PB she looks great, nice to see someone unafraid of using their car in winter!

Dave, I'm out in Sheboygan WI every couple of years - I'm the sales agent for Wigwam socks here in Scotland!

KS - Love those pictures too. I'll have to send the first one to my Girlfriend. She loves Scotland and was there a couple of years ago. We are planning a trip in May, but to Cornwall.

Wigwam socks are essential here.

All this makes me want a Fulvia or Flavia. I get bad vintage car withdrwal in the Winter...

We're having some pretty serious weather here at present, a photo by NASA in the papers today show nearly all of the UK covered in snow, where I live in Bedfordshire 40 miles north of London, we've been lucky in not having the amount of snow Scotland and the North of England have had, but boy is it cold!
On top of that only the Major routes are salted& Gritted, nearly everywhere else is a skating ring.
We're down to about minus 10c at night but some parts of Scotland have seen minus 20c.

We've also seen the coldest December temperatures recorded since records began.
My Fulvia 2c Berlina is tucked up in a unheated garage but in her airchamber, and says she doesn't want to come out to play!

All this talk of snow.... heck, we don't even have snow in our part of Canada yet.

The BBC is keeping us updated with all kinds of pictures of the misery in the UK.

love the Fulvia pic's, very evocative of the Monte carlo rally!
I like to use my classics all year around as it can make for very interesting motoring and thats half the fun, the actual using of a car in all weathers brings out the caracter of a vehicle and can lead to some great adventures.
Just my opinion though;)
She will get a thorough wash down when the snow clears up to get rid of the rock salt and then another coat of waxoil.3673

Those pictures (Flavia and Fulvia) are fantastic. One of the Flavia pictures may become my December "wallpaper" for the computer screen...just beautiful. Thanks for posting!

As another Scot in Perth, am glad my Flavia and Beta Spyder are securely garaged, away from the 2 feet of snow we have. Transport is restricted to my wife`s Freelander, excellent in snow while my Mercedes CLK is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. As a matter of interest, a week past last Sunday having taken over 6 hours for the 20 mile Dundee to Perth journey, saw a Fulvia Coupe, white reg ROT ???M on trailer about to join the closed M90 bridge. Any idea whose it is?

Hi Alan,

Hope you're well. Passed the tailbacks on our way to Ninewells hospital to see dad that day but didn't spot the Fulvia! We came back via Coupar Angus as the a90 up to Forfar was blocked by that time as well - entertaining. Passat 4motion with snow tyres has been fantastic again, drove down to the Lakes a cpl of weeks ago and was on snow for 4hrs 50mins of the 5hr trip!
integrale is mid rebuild but the Fulvia is very nearly finished, pics from Gordon Needs bookshop are in the alloy fuel tank thread. I've missed the Fulvia's antics in the snow a lot!

Thanks Gus,
Snow is such a rarity this far south that i thought I should capture the action asap.
I have had Subaru imprezas for the last 8 years which are great in the ice and snow, I sold my last one literally weeks before the bad weather (Dohh!) and have been using the Flavia as my daily drive.
Considering the fact that Penny has been stuck in a garage for the last 25years (1985 tax disc still in the window!) she has performed faultlessly and is a joy to drive.
The wife was following me the other day while I was driving my spitfire mk3 and I couldn't take my eyes off the rear view mirror, it was like being followed by the gangsters in an episode of 'Randal and Hopkirk' !!
