Hello,
I'm thinking about purchasing an '82 Zagato from a client of mine. He's owned the car for 13 years and it is very clean. (Visit wheelsofitaly.com and look at the 2004 show photos) I also became involved with autocrossing this year and I'm wondering if the Zagato would be good for this? The car is solid and mechanically sound but I wouldn't mind adding a few performance parts to it (i.e. springs/shocks, air kit,) to make it handle and run better when running through the cones. Have any of you done this??

Because the car is a unique collector, holds four people, has an open top, and looks fun to drive, the car seems to fit my needs. I guess I'm interested in owner feedback about what to look for and how to make it perform better.

Thanks...

If its sound and you want it, buy it :) Then drive it for a while before deciding what to spend your money on in the way of upgrades.
