I have posted this on the Dedra forum as the car is a Dedra ie Turbo but basically as it's the same engine as the 8v Delta HF I thought it might be good to post it on here too as there are more Delta ownser than Dedra owners!
I have a 1993 Dedra 2000ie Turbo which is a splendid car but has one irritating problem.
99.9% of the time the engine runs perfectly. However - every now and then the engine will cut out just for a fraction of a second - and I'm talking like half a second. Before you realise it's happened it's back again. This happens very intermittently - maybe once a week!
It seems to happen just after I've been off the throttle - for example changing gear so I'm wondering if it's somehow related to the transition from not fuelling on the overrun and fuelling again....
Like I said it is very very intermittent and always just for a fraction of a second and most of the time the car runs perfectly!
Any ideas on where to look would be appreciated.
