The Augusta has a classic look with its running boards and pillarless doors and I can see why you may consider horning in an integrale engine as a modern take on a classic theme. Quite a good choice but have you considered a Fulvia engine, and possibly tuning that!!!

Paul,
You need to speak to Chuggaboom (James Parry) on the Lancia motor club forum, although I think he did join this forum, he's stuffed all sorts of things in allsorts of Lancia's and currently is about to frighten the life out of a poor little Appia Pickup.

Brian.
Thanks for the link. Doesn't the Belna cabriolet look fantastic? What a wonderful car. Must be stunning in its two toned paint work. Doesn't need to go fast (so an integrale engine may be a little over the top!!!), one of these in concours condition would simply be stunning to look at.

I have to admit that the Augusta (in any form) is one of the Lancias that's definitely "on my list". I know of a couple that are possibly available and as soon as I can land in a decent location after our relocation I hope to pursue one. I guess I'm just queer for those incredibly cool semaphore turn signals.

If I can ever get hold of one I definitely WON'T be "enhancing" the powerplant. If I was going to do that I'd just put a small-block Chevy in it.

And it's got a sporting heritage; an Augusta won the Targa Florio in 1936.

Ed,
Amazing result given that this is a low powered car. Do you know what other cars were in the field?
