Might sound like a silly question but I'm wondering why there are so many holes in the sub-frame and whether it is a good idea to plug them?

So far I've put seals in the ones on the top and sides and grommets/seals with small holes in the bottom ones in case any water gets in there. Was thinking of spraying some oily anti-rust compound inside before putting the sub-frame back in. Good idea or is it better to leave the holes unplugged for ventilation?

I honestly don't think it'll make too much difference - but won't do any harm to chuck some Dinitrol or similar in there

Why so many holes :?: I don't have the foggiest, maybe it's a manufacturing 'thing' :?:

My subframe had never been off and despite having a lot of holes, also had a lot of grommets in them as well. The usual points where morons place a trolley jack were strengthened and refabricated to as new. Once it was blasted and repowder coated, it got a generous amount of Supertrol injected inside it 4 or 5 times and new grommets put in the holes. It looks like new and is certainly stonger.
