I am owning a beta HPE 2.0 of 83.
I was wrong but I was thinking that I had a Magneti Marelli ECU and I just realize that it was the ignition box.....
That's why I was selling a new Bosch ECU 0 280 000 174 that I bought without knowing where it took place in my beta !
I've just seen the ECU monted on my beta and badly it 's the Bosch 0 280 000 216 !

So I have a Bosch new one 0 280 000 174 and I would like to know if it is possible to adapt it on my beta?
If there are some differences between the two ECU?
What are the differences ?

Thanks a lot.

They may be interchangeable- have you tried it? Most of the Bosch L-jet applications are wired similarly, do you know what the new ECU came out of?
As long as it's a four-banger, give it a whirl!

it would appear that both these part # are for injection beta but i don't know what the difference is. it may be that one is an updated version or possibly one is north american spec??

looking at the parts microfiche it looks like lancia updated the unit at some time so either unit should work ok

I know that one difference is that newer units are setup to use a Mass Air Flow meter instead of the old "flapper" style AFM. Maybe this could be the diff for these units?

I think this might only be on the north american cars
