There doesn't seem to be one in existence on this site, so I figured I'd ask.
What are the things to check when buying a Beta? Floor, sills, inner arches, A pillar and shock turrets are the things I remember. I'm sure there's more?
I'm gonna go look at a 1300 on Saturday, so hopefully I can put the information to good use.
Thanks for any info you can provide....

Hi,

Have you read the Omicron guide?
What to look for when buying a Lancia Beta (http://www.omicron.uk.com/lanciacentral/beta/buying.html)

http://www.omicron.uk.com/lanciacentral/beta/ - useful starting point.

I also recommend that in addition to that, you also run the engine, then stop it again and quickly take off the oil filler cap. Poke your nose in and check for the tell-tale smell of fuel. This will tell you a lot about the state of the valves and seals. Best case, no fuel smell. Worst case, smells like a petrol pump.

I'd not come across that Omicron guide before. Most useful. Thank you Omicron and also the people who pointed me there.
And I'll try that oil filler cap trick.
Thanks
