Could somebody tell me what the difference is between Flavia and Fulvia shocks? are they different damper rates or lengths? I need some shocks but can only find Fulvia dampers:'(

I don't know specifically, but the Flavia's a heavier car, so the shocks won't likely be the same.

Thanks Ed,
I think I will have to look into it as nobody seems to have a definative answer.
The suspension is pretty much identical so it will probably ony be damper rates that were different and I think that slightly wrong damper rates are preferable to leaking dampers that dont work at all!!
I have finally managed to find the time to start work on the Flavia coupe, I gave the engine a service, new plugs, oil, filters etc.. put a battery on cranked her over to build up oil pressure then put the plugs in and HOLY COW!! it started!! after sitting since 1985 thats not bad and she runs very smoothly too :-)

I think you're absolutely right that Fulvia dampers--even if their rates are slightly lower--would be much better than non-functioning Flavia ones.

I used fulvia dampers (spax gas) on a 2000hf years ago no problem at all but of course they are adjustable which helps. I recall that the top bush was slightly different and had to be modified. i assume you are talking about an 815? if not don't forget the later flavias (819/820) had eyes at both ends of the front shocks not the long threaded rod at the top like a fulvia, as usual the wonders of lancia parts diversity for no apparent reason (no wonder they went bust)
