Hi everyone, Im a Architect living in Trondheim, Norway who have just bought my first Lancia. I was looking to buy a "new" used car, but when I saw the beautiful Lancia 2000 HF from 72 I totally fell for it.

I have been driving it for a couple of months now and its been running smooth, until i notice that the pulley wheel on the water pump was making noise and wobbling a bit. So now Im in the midst of the project of replacing the bearings. Quite a job, for someone who have never fixed a car before. But thanks to all the great help from this Forum, me and my dad, are getting it done.

Hopefully it will be out running again soon.

Bjorn,

Welcome to the forum!

One of these days we'll figure out what it is about architects and Lancias; there are a number of us around...

Thanks for the welcome guys.
So there are a few architects with Lancias. I guess its got something to do with the beautiful designs, quality and attention to details that makes us covert the Lancia.
I have long been a fan of Italian cars, well since I was a kid really. And when I finally got the finances to try and get one I looked at Alfas, Fiats and such, but it when I came across this Lancia 2000 I just fell for it. I was in a good condition ( except from a busted water pump which Im working on fixing at the moment), and the ride is just superb.

Here are some pictures.

Looks great! Silver is perfect for the lines of the car.

Both Ed and I are architects - and yes, we covet the Lancias. Welcome, your car looks great.

Bjorn, if you ever holiday in America, presumably you'll be 'Bjorn in the USA' !

Sorry, it's just the way my mind works (or doesn't)

Yes Indeed! In fact I have been there many times. My dad is from Brooklyn, and I have lots of relatives in the US. Its been a while since I have been over the dam, and I often think it would be great to ship the Lancia over and go on a coast to coast drive.
Got so many things Id like to see.

Bjorn,

If you bring your 2000 HF over here and drive it across the country, we'll try to organize events at several points along the way.

Thanks, that sound great. It will have to be one of my future holiday plans. First Im planning a drive from Norway down to Italy next year. I want to go through the Alps, especially the road from Davos down to the Stelvio pass.
But a cross country tip in the US i definitely on the cards sometime in the future. :))

I omitted to say - gorgeous looking car. I'm not saying I'd swap my (yet to be collected) Fulvia, but....it could turn my head! Silver's just a great colour for it. How is the enviroment for rust in Norway - good because cold, or bad because of salt for the snow?

Make sure to stop in Fobello. Well worth the visit, even if its far out of the way.
