Update: Struts are incredible, Performance Shock LTD(www.performanceshock.com) in Sonoma did a really great job walking me through the whole process.
I can't say enough about these people and the quality of their work was spot on. Thomas was very cool and explained what needed to be done and also the sanity of what I was asking them to do. Really incredible mods. So if you want them done, I"d suggest getting your shocks done now as it is all fresh in their minds.

It was a bolt up with no mods needed. John's Frame and Alignment in Portland did a great job, set up compression, rebound very nicely as a rough in.
THe car handles like nuts now with the 350f/ 250r springs. I may go for lighter springs to allow the shocks to be used; however, in hard handling, and bumps the shocks do get compressed... a bit. LMAO

I can hang into corners at speed, she just grips and asks for more throttle OMG

Will dial the suspension in a bit more, drop the nose about 1.5 inches.
This Performance Apex (www.performanceapex.com - see Paul's Zagato) built 2L is the Dogs Bollocks!!!

BR,

Paul

Before Performance Shock rebuilds my struts I want to do diligence here and see if anyone has knowledge of a dual adjustable, coil-over Strut that will off the shelf (Bottom brackets top bearings changed OK) that will work for the Beta Zagato. Oh they will be camber adjustable at the top. The external diameter of the strut can't be greater than stock as the oversized wheels are very close to touching now.

Stock Spacers used.

I am just about ready to go over the top and get these struts rebuilt.

With the engine, frame, and other mods it was time to change out the stock springs and anemic old Konis.

This is my last performance upgrade until I can source a manufacturer for ring and pinion.

A 2Liter bumblebee at 75MPH is not a happy driver make.

How exciting!

Appears that I'll be doing something interesting here, perhaps new?

Will keep the group informed.

Am looking to get this darned Budget Zagato LMAO finally ready to drive reliably and updated/ upgraded.

Can't wait to get a 2L in that scorpion!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know, only Leda in the UK offered anything like this. Their package sounded pretty well developed and customers had lots of setting options. Sadly I chickened out of buying what turned out to be their last set at a considerable discount before they went out of business. Had I known then that they would not be around when I finally decided to take the plunge I would have snapped it up immediately.

I have just had Performance Shock in Sonoma Ca fix up my old set of Koni Struts I purchased from Dan Chiradonna a few years back. The old struts where OK; however, i did not like the stock springs 100LBS Rating. My tires/ weels where just too wide for the fenderwells for the old springs to handle. So now the Konis feature:

350F 250R Springs
Height Adjustible Coilovers
Larger Front Pistons
Race VAlving
Compression/ Rebound adjustible
Spherical Bearings
Rear Inserts

These babies are race ready so I will use em for my hot street, somtimes autocross setup.
Don't ask me how much, I am tooooo embarrassed to tell.

This should keep the body/ fenderwells off of the wheels

Sounds very trick. Let us know how they feel once you're got them mounted.

My installers have put them in. They also have adjusted the front compression a little to give a little more relaxed dampening. According to them the car is a real go-cart now. Much more precise than what was there earlier.
I may go for a roll bar and some poly bushings for a later install. Wintertime perhaps.

But I am essentially done on the mods.

My Scorpion is complete; however, needs a 2L very badly! I have everything else to make her a success!!

Can't wait to pickup the machine on Saturday!

What is nice is Ray's Performance Apex is about 15 miles away now!!!!

I saw the Ledas being sold in Betaboyz classified. Nice price; however, he wanted to charge me over 500 bucks for shipping. I asked him to use the same carrier that Monte Hospital uses. Oh, he would not have it.... so I walked away! If he does not want to do a deal, well now Peformance Shock in Sonoma has my money and likely this is a better strut!

As soon as I posted I realised which ad you were referring to. I remember it now.

eyh those struts where a work of art.
Too bad that the main Leda dude was a fart
He had a real deal on the Struts... Like 1,2K USD; however, he wanted $500 bucks shipping to my address..

I asked him to use the same carrier as Monte Hospital.
He would not budge saying that he had a bad experience with that carrier.... Oh yeah, right.
Rape Avoided. My struts are better anyways, Dual adjustible for Compression, Dampening, custom valves, local rebuild when that time comes....
