Don Camillo

Hi, fellows
and thank you, HF 1,6 - for having directed me to this forum. I am a Norwegian guy who has just moved to San Francisco for work. I have had a passion for cars ever since I was a kid, but it took many years before I had the time and money to buy my first enthusiast car. By that time I really had discovered Lancia and what a special brand it is, so my first Lancia was a 72´ Fulvia 1,3s rallye coupe. Having a coupe soon made me wanting a Berlina as well, so few years later I bought a 79´Beta 2000 Berlina. The Beta vas nice, but a bit to new-fashion for my taste, so it was sold when I discovered a 58´ Appia C10 in Sweden. Owning that car gave me a fascination for the older cars, so last year - when a 58´Flaminia Berlina turned up, I sold my Fulvia and bought the Flaminia. This made me the happy owner of two true Icons, and during summer I drive them every day. When I moved here, both cars were left in good Lanciahands back in Norway - but here I hope to find a Flavia or an Appia Vignale - for the many trips to come, exploring California and other parts of the US. I am fortunate to have a friend who has offered me to great storage here in SF, so the car will be safe and well taken care of when not in use. If you have one for sale, or know of one anywhere in the US or Canada, please let me know.
By the way: why the nickname, Don Camillo? Because I am a the new pastor of the Norwegian Seamens Church in San Francisco. We´re at 2454 Hyde Street, and you´re welcome to drop by for a coffee and our famous norwegian waffel hearts with strawberry jam. And if you drop by, you´re most likely to meet a true Lancia geek 8)8)
