Hello again!
I will need some advise in what kind of black MAT paint to use for painting my HF's front bonnet.(acryllic or base coat plus mat laquer?)
The paint or laquer should remain MAT even after polishing or waxing it, right?
Any ideas?
Thanks, Theo.

Regardless of what type of matte black paint you use, I don't think you'd want to apply any sort of wax or polish, as that would "fill in" the microscopically coarse surface that gives the matte finish. I'm not sure if there's any sort of paint protectant that would be suitable for matte paint; otherwise, I reckon you'd be expected to just leave the paint bare as it is.

Theo,
Matte or satin black paint can indeed be waxed for protection. Anyone who's tried to bring back a dead paint job with just wax can tell you that it generally takes a lot more than that. Test your current wax to see if the black gets too shiny, which it might with various of the newer spray products. If your usual wax produces too mich shine, just use a thin layer of any good paste wax and wipe the residue but don't fully buff it out.
