Is there supposed to be 2 small locator pegs holding the bronze cam bush in place or am I going mad? My head came back from being skimmed with nothing in the holes. My big orange book shows one in a cross section drawing.
Also what is recommended for the gasket that is between the intake / water manifold and the head? The old gasket was quite hard and the surfaces seemed to be coated in a dry graphite like substance, Im using a new gasket.
Thanks, Pete

Pete,

Yes there should be otherwise the bush will spin. Were there any there to start with?

The gaskets are all available from Omicron. There is a standard gasket there, not a regular leakage point.

Thanks, Im sure the pins were there so Ill have to call the workshop. I have a new gasket but just wondered if anything should be put on it as its water and air. Iv always used the carb gaskets dry on other cars.
