Hello everyone,
I am in need of new tires for my recently aquired 1979 HPE. I am wondering what sizes will fit the 14inch 8-spoke alloys without interfering with suspension or body. I would like to go larger than stock but don't want to find out the hard way what doesn't fit. Any suggestions appreciated.

I use 185/65 14. Yokohama all the time, very good size and tyre for coupe.
Some people are using 195/65 14.
Next set of tyre I will try 195/65.

My Volumex runs 185/65 HR 14 BF Goodrich which was the prefered size (although not manufacturer!) recommended by Lancia, as you know 175/70 HR14 was the standard size. In the past I have fitted 195/60 HR 14 and wouldn't be tempted to try anything more, I'm not too sure if 195/65 HR14's will be too 'happy' on the standard alloys..... :?:
I'd go with the 185/65 HR 14 size as I think it's the best compromise for performance/comfort :D

I have been using 195/65 VR 14 for 20 years and have been very happy with the size and performance, also the speedo stays accurate. :D
