I am rebuilding my 1.3 S2 Sport and have the choice of either the original clock or an HF oil temp gauge from my spares. Any thoughts? and where would I pumb in the temp gauge?

Depends on what you would think to be the most important to look at during driving. Personally I think time is irrelevant while driving a Fulvia so I would choose the temp gauge even there should be a clock. But the modification is reversible without leaving evidedence so go for the temp gauge. In the HF models the temp bulb is fitted in the oil filter housing. In the non Hf models lancia fitted an aloy plug in the filterhousing body which after removing with an allen key provides the thread for a temp sensor.

In response to your request for "any thoughts?", why not something that monitors the electrical system?

A VDO voltmeter lives where the clock did in my Fulvia; having it installed helped me identify a voltage regulator that was going bad before the battery was fried.
