My father away in February. He left me this Lancia, which he bought in the mid sixties. Its been stored in a dry garage under a sheet since 1974. Odometer is in KM. Everything including the patina is original. I plan to have someone restore it, ableit and keep as much original as possible. Til then, enjoy these pix. Though I'd rather have my father. I will enjoy this Lancia.

Sorry to hear about your loss... but getting this car back on the road and driving it will be a great way to keep your father's memory alive.

David,

It'll be a great way to remember your Father, I got my Dad's Fulvia back on the road a couple of years after he passed away, I'm sure he's watches me tinkering with it (and shakes his head from time to time). I've even named my Fulvia after him, 'Zeppe' is the short version of Guiseppe or in English, Joe.

regards,
Alex

Condolences on your loss--one that a number of us understand well.

And I'll echo the thoughts that the car is a wonderful connection to your father. It looks remarkably original, and I hope you'll try to keep it that way. Last year, I had the chance to borrow a friend's original Flavia PF for a month or so; it's a remarkably refined car that drives like a dream.

Enjoy the Flavia. It looks fine with much original patina. You'll have good driving days to look forward to and remember your father in those calm Lancia moments, full of information but without interruption. Its special quality may provide you some deep satisfaction.

Sorry for the loss, and as Ed said, we share this one.
