Hi everyone,
my montecarlo is reputedly fitted with Dedra callipers at the rear, they are 38mm girling type, I think the same as alfa 164 too. can anyone confirm that Dedra rears are also 38mm girlings?? also - anyone have one (rhs) they want to sell as mine is siezed!
thanks in advance for any info..

james.

Hi James,
Sorry but all Dedra fitted with rear Disc Brakes have 48mm piston bores,
Girling Brakes were only fitted with abs systems, rears Discs themselves are 240 Diameter, while fronts being 257mm.
2 differences were, 1.6 had drums at the rear, while Turbo had 15" wheels as standard and bigger Brakes.
If you want to have a look for yourself, download the Dedra Manuals I posted to the Library, you'll find details on Page 49 of the technical data near the front.

I'd be surprised if they're from an Alfa 164 as the Lancia equivilant is the Thema, and quite a few parts are similar if not the same as far ar chasis is concerned, and Thema Calipers have 54mm bores?
I've even just had a look at my ex Delta HF Turbo manual, but they had
34 mm bores in the rear calipers, which maked me wonder that perhaps they might be the same as integrale, just checked, and 8v integrale had 34mm, but on Evo 1 the size had gone up to 36 mm, I tried to check for Evo 2 but the relevant information is missing, knowing of the upgrades with Evo 2, I'm wondering if Lancia upped them to 38mm.
My best guess is that they might be from an Evo 2, but I can't prove it, perhaps someone else can.
