here are the details, no need to be a FLU member for this drive and picnic;

Lot's of tight windy turns, with steep climbs and descents. Make sure your brakes are in good working order, or we'll be scraping you off the canyon floor! The drive ends at a gorgeous park on a bluff overlooking the ocean in Malibu, where we'll stop to eat and check out all the cars. Denise is still working out the details for getting the Moonshine here. The sisters are really looking forward to meeting you all on this drive.

Details of the drive:
Saturday, March 20, 2010
Meet at Warner Plaza Shopping Center ( http://tinyurl.com/ygaa4qx (http://tinyurl.com/ygaa4qx) ) at 12:30 PM. Please show up with a full tank of gas. Last car out at 1:00 PM.
2 hour mountain drive, mostly on Mulholland Dr and Decker Canyon Rd in the Santa Monica Mountains
End at Malibu Bluffs Park overlooking the ocean (http://tinyurl.com/ykouxow (http://tinyurl.com/ykouxow)), picnic to follow
Bring what you like to drink. Food will be provided.

Contact Ace (805-338-1767) or Ron (661-618-3468) if you have any questions or need directions.

You'd better have plenty of money. And be willing to part with a lot of it...:D

Did those roads yrs. ago w/a friend from Encino. Just had his
'67 XKE fully restored. Great car, good friend, nice roads. Only
area of California I've ever been to. Jag. Club meet/drive. People
were snobs, any stops we made along the drive for food or drinks
were outrageously priced. I'll stay w/central Missouri twisty, windy
country roads thru the hills sampling wine & cheese. If that's what
some people think is California impressive, count me out.

We really need to get everyone to Colorado sometime...

California has a lot of really awesome places and things. Great place for car guys and gals. I love to visit there and I was mostly just commenting on the concept of moving there as Ed had suggested.

Mizzou is a great place, too. But I don't play banjo...

Hey, David, I don't know about sampling that cheese, but you can hold the whine--this ain't the Jag Club. BTW, how're those central Missouri roads in March?

Alvon, I'll try to join you on the 20th.
