79 Zagato Spider

Hey guys and gals (if there is gals here). I signed up a while ago but never posted till now. I have a 1979 Lancia Zagato Spider I'm restoring. Its the black with gold stripe and black leather interior edition. It sat for 5 or 6 years before I bought it off of my uncle, and needs work. I have a new convertible top for it, alot of new and used replacement parts, but I still need some new some parts for it. Also I'm not tooooo familiar with this car yet. Getting to know it more and more every day, and so far I'm pretty damn impressed with it!! Cannot WAIT to get this car out on the road! I have a new header for it, and yes its the one made for the 1995cc Lancia Zagato Spider engine, the Two 40 DCOE Dellorto carbs and intake for the Lancia Zagato upgrade, Delta Racing Cams, and the over sized 1979 Lancia Beta Coupe Piston Set 8.9:1 comp. ratio - 0.4mm Oversize upgrade. I am not doing any of the internal upgrades till the fall. Just putting on the header, some fine tuning, rust stop fixing and paint touch ups on those spots, and hopefully 17" wheels with 205/40/17's if they fit with the offset of the Mini Cooper 17" wheels. I'm getting this thing ready to get on the road for the spring once the snow melts, YES I live in Central Canada lol. I'll post pics of the before and afters to show you all how MUCH work I'm putting into restoring this old Italian beauty!!

Welcome aboard (and yes we won the gold medal in hockey). There is still a handle of Lancias on Canadian roads.... but good luck seeing another one, unless it a Fiat/Lancia event.
BTW Fiats and Lancia use a 98 mm pitch circle for the wheels... not the more common 100 mm pitch circle. So, lots of wheels will not fit (and don't try to force fit 100 mm wheels onto a Lancia).

Hey welcome!
There are a bunch of us here in Calgary that are getting together this summer. Hopefully you will be able to join us for the fun. Some will be from BC as well.

Another proud Canadian. Welcome to the forum.
I may be driving one of the cars to Calgary in June. (only @ 2000 miles from me)
I'll get in touch when I go.
Good Luck with the Zagato. Be careful fitting 17 inch rims. Its very easy to hit the inside wheel well or the strut with oversize wheels. Use the stock set up and enjoy the handling
first. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated! I will for sure be in for a Lancia get together in Calgary or wherever. I want to put some "KM'S" on this thing lol. Notice how I said kilometers, not miles, cause I'm Canadian, lmao. Sorry ABOOT the lame joke ;)
