I thought long and hard about it but then took the plunge. A job like this costs a bit and was given a fair deal at just $5,000 for the work by O and R custom restoration in El Sobrante CA. They do Italian cars with ease and understand how to do the convertible tops, dash and some of the delicate trim that is involved.

I dropped the car off with an open work order and provided a detailed list of what I wanted, I'm really proud of the this job, and want to share the results of what this work looks like.

Used: High end furniture leather 2 1/2 hides used (moooooo!!!)

NOS Momo steering wheel made in 89

Faux Suede micro fiber dash pod
Fiat black ball shifter
custom shift and ebrake boots
New vinyl on everything
New top, roof straps, hardware
custom seat design with lumbar support and ribbing
Repainted pedal box
New Carpet
New Seat belt
New window winders
New lock trim surround
Refinished dash

Cost = $5000,00
If you're in CA and want the number, email me and I can refer you to this shop. Notice the Lancia Appia in the shop too, awesome!

Cheers,

Yup, breathtaking. You need some re-pro "PRESS" seatbelt
stalk stickers to detail it . . . right D.J.? [He-he-he]

Thanks guys for the warm comments! I'll post a few more once the windshield is installed and the trim is all on. I really appreciate the feedback, this project means quite a lot to me and it's been a 2 yr. marathon of sorting out this car to no end. Still needs work!

Final install is coming with photo documentation:

Konis on all 4 corners
Paint Ronal A1 gun metal grey, rotate tires
Monte Hospital hard top with custom head padding
Polyurethane bushings front/rear
4 piston wilwood brakes
New strut mounts
Stainless line
AC delete, compressor delete
Custom made smog legal headers with EGR connection (for CA by: Allison Engineering)
Period Agip decals
Martini stripe on hard top? or Air Italia? Hmmm. We'll see bout that one.

Then one day, I swear, I'm actually going to drive this car, actually drive it.

Cheers and thanks for checking it out! Thanks to 360 autobody, Monte Hospital, Allison Automotive, Midwest Bayless, All Parts, Adrian, Paul, Lloyd, and everyone who's been along for the project.

that's very nicely done you've done well to keep it nicely understated nice colour combinations looks just the way that pininfarina might have done it given enough production budget

Update on the suspension, looks like April may be the month that project Lancia is done with the suspension bits. As it is now, we're looking very nice
with a huge list of replaced parts, I'm thinking she's going to handle more than sufficient for my needs.

Installed: poly sway bushes all around, mild street brake pads, wilwood F + new R 131 calipers, bearings, tie rods, end links, brake lines, hoses, coolant lines, fan temp switch, repaint all suspension, new undercoating, konis all 4 corners, TMH Spring set up in red, new strut top mounts, this has been a complete susp. restore.

Will update with car on the street pics when they come in and a road test result.
