Hello everyone, my name is Gareth, and I recently bought a Lancia Fulvia 1.3 S2. It is a lifetime ambition fulfilled, as I have always wanted one since I was a lad, when my friends mum used to drop me off at home in one after school back in the early 70's. I am just so frustrated at the moment that I cannot use it properly until the spring.
Catch up with you all soon

Mr. G, Gareth, beautiful car! I'm a little biased, I just purchased a S1 1.3 Rallye Coupe about 3 months ago. She merely graces a mechanic's shop in CO, USA where I live. I hope that yours is rust free and free revving. How nerve racking to wait until May to have a decent drive in decent weather. Let me know if you find a bunch of parts sources!

Hey, Rallye1.3CO,
Welcome to the forum to you too!
I just sent you an e-mail about tracking your Fulvia for my register, but I'd be happy to give you the lowdown on parts sources as well. In the meantime, can we get any photos of yours?

Thank you for all your posts, I just wanted to tell you all about the history of the car, as I have all the documents going right back to the original purchase invoice. I hope you all find it interesting because I find it fascinating, it’s like tracing your family history!
The car was bought on Baker Street London for £2055 in 3rd March 1972 from Portman Garages Ltd. It was originally Silver (it’s now red) and fitted extras included Seat belts for £12.50! The original owners lived on Montagu Square in West London, one of the best addresses in London. (I had a look on google streetview, and it’s incredible address).
It is obvious that it spent a lot of time in the garage with all the garage bills that I have for it, they even lost the cigarette lighter twice! Problems reported when it was serviced were “Bad Cold Starting! On numerous occasions and the heater not working! It was kept in the family by passing the car onto their son, he even had a bill in 1984 for £262! which was a fortune then!
It was finally sold in 1985 and spent its life around Brighton until 2005, when it was bought as a barn find by the person I bought it from (This part of the cars history is unclear but I imagine it wasn’t running for about 10 years). He spent 2 years restoring the car, and then ran it for 2 years before selling it to me.
So I am the present custodian of the car, and so far I haven’t been disappointed.
Gareth
