Since we all seem to have in interest in all types of Italian cars can any of you guys point me in the right direction for a couple of body parts for an Iso Rivolta "Daytona!" A friend happenned to be at a scrapyard/metal recycling place in Lynnwood Wa last week when an "affluent" looking young kid came in with the below shown aluminum hood and trunk lid for an Iso Rivolta Daytona. My friend saved it from scrap and brought both pieces to me, knowing it was something unusual like the cars I seem to be drawn to. As I don't have a Grifo or Lele etc do any of you guys know who might be interested in these parts? Google seaching makes me scratch my head, realizing how rare one of these roadsters are in the 1st place. The kid said it was off a 1965 IRD but it seems from doing a websearch that most of the handful Iso Daytona's were in 1966 with mention of a 1965 prototype. There is one for sale in England right now for about $300,000. I don't even have pictures of any of them in my Winston Goodfellow book on Iso's. Hand beaten aluminum panels attached to gas welded tubing and covered in bondo and looking period correct....Someone DA'd the paint off one corner and used a grinding wheel to cut thru the bondo down to the aluminum skin for unk reasons.
