Ian asked for some pics, so I thought I'd oblige. There's a little vid here also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUjXwhm5YWc , I'll be fitting the CSC silencer soon, hope it sounds even nicer, wouldn't mind the front end sounding a little more substantial, without being a head turner for all the wrong reasons.

DJ, Thanks for sorting the problem out.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the comments. It's a bit hard to make out the imprint on the wheel, best I can tell it says Junior Carrera or Cabrera, it's flat and 350mm edge to edge . I've done a quick google search and nothing comes up. This looks similar but it's domed and larger, which probably isn't a bad thing(you'll need to scroll to bottom of page) http://www.verelancia.com/#/events/4531971412 otherwise have a look at moto lita wheels. I'm sure other members know where to get a nice wheel.

Iain,
Apologies for spelling your name incorrectly. 4 months ago I didn't like the colour, but now the car is looking tidier it's really growing on me. I think I put a brief history of the car in my intro in September, but I'll shoot through it now.
My Dad bought the car around 2001, previous owner bought it in '85, Dad had a bare metal respray, but didn't go the whole hog cleaning everything else up. He fell out of love with it after throwing money at it and asked me if I'd prefer it to my 1300, yep. Car didn't get used for about 3 or 4 years as I lived in London, sat in my Dad's barn, when he passed away I decided to get it back on the road, so I called Omicron.
There isn't much history with the car, it must've been lost before my Dad had the car because he was meticulous about keeping history and documentation.
Chassis is 818741.003798 and I think it was silver.
If I remember the car is Porsche speed yellow, but having come across this page with a yellow fulvia I wonder if it was an actual Lancia colour
http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/car_info_lancia_fulvia_1300_coupe_s3.htm
I'd initially thought I would sell it after getting it running, but I love it now, plus when I get back in my Alfa 156 Sportwagon it feels like it's a Rolls Royce, which means I don't feel the need to buy a new 159 anymore.
One brother has an s3 1300, the other has a Zagato 1300 which I think he wants to sell as he prefers coupes.

If anyone knows any way to trace a vehicles history using the web, please let me know.

Alex,

It looks just great all tidied up.

The HF1600 was available in only one "yellow"--a color called "Giallo HF", but it's really more orange than yellow: http://www.fulviahf.it/emanueletognato.htm
So your yellow's not original, but it looks terrific on the car, IMO. Besides, the Very Bright Fulvia Club needs as many charter members as it can get...

Ed,
That's a great colour, very retro. When are we going to see yours? I've got a couple of nice pics of it mid works, but i'm waiting to see the completed item...

Looks like the subframe will go back in next week, after which there's another couple of weeks' worth of detail work. I'll make sure to post a few of the finished product, and I don't want to hijack your thread, but in the meantime, here's a 'before' and 'after' of the fuse box.

Must be a very nice feeling having the electrics sorted, very clean and he's done a great job of sticking to the original wire colours.
-1 outside and I'm going to have a go at changing my shocks.

thanks - lovely colour , whats the history of your car? have you had it long?

I went over to my Mum's today to 'borrow' some parts from the 1300. I had a close look through my Dad's car history filing cabinet and lo and behold, found a load of old receipts etc for the HF, which is great.
Back in the early eighties it was registered 4 CMK, this was sold in '85 for £950 and put on a Morgan, my current reg was given by the DVLA in '85. 4 CMK is on the earliest receipt I have at 1982, but I'm not sure whether this would have been the original reg being a 1972 car.

Lots of receipts from GGB engineering spares in London, some from Mitchell White & PTNS in South Norwood, London and a couple of bills from P. Gerrish.
There's a fair few MOTs and at least I know the gearbox oil was changed in 1985!

There is a slip with Grigio Argento Metallic ref 11757, I assume this was the silver before the yellow.

I've also found a 2nd series coupe and sport instruction book with appendixes for 1600hf and 1600 sport, I can photocopy if anyone needs one.

Last thing, there's 2 gearboxes sitting in my Mum's garage, pretty sure they're both 1300, but I can only make one code out, which is 818 630 051 889.

Nice to have some history even if it's missing the first ten years.:)

There's also a copy in the Library (Downloads) section of this site. But that copy doesn't have the appendix for the Sport 1600--only the 1600 HF.
