How long is your jack strap?

I need to take a poll to find out what the proper length of rubber strap is supposed to be used for holding down the jack in a Scorpion and Montecarlo.

Mine is 11 inches long but I'm not sure it's the original because I can never really figure out a good way to situate the jack to make it work.

I have some new straps that are 11-inches long and some that are 7.75 inches long. It seems that the shorter straps would work better.

Because it's not original and I have some straps for sale. :D

I have two lengths of straps that I got from Val when I bought my brake kits:

One is about 6" pin to pin and fits the Scorpion perfect. I had to use a pin on one end instead of the hook it came with. No biggy.

The other one is about 4" pin to pin and works perfect on my 124 Spider.
