Don't get here much these days. In answer to the queries about what other models used an intake side cambox mounted distributor - Fiat 132 right hand drive with air conditioning. The air conditioner bracketry interfered with the block mounting location, and the brake booster was too close to the exhaust cam box for it to go over there, and there was no room off the back of the cam boxes, so it had to be on the intake side.
Beware that the distributor, whilst looking like the other cam box mounted distributors, has the teeth of the driven gear on the end of the shaft machined at an opposite angle to the exhaust side driven distributor.
