I've been meaning to post this for weeks but life has really been kicking my ass for available time lately.

Has anyone else been enjoying the fact that World Rally Championship racing has finally returned to television here in the US? And in HD, no less.

What cable channel is carrying them? I would usually watch it when I found it on the TV but haven't seen it in some time.

Hopefully the Dakar Rally coverage goes back to what it was a few years ago. It's been thin lately, notwithstanding the cancellation a few years ago.

It's on HD theatre (http://dhd.discovery.com/), one of the Discovery Channel offerings.

It's actually spelled the American way -- 'Discovery HD Theater'. Got the HD receiver from the cable company as soon as I heard they were going to carry WRC. I've watched all of them to date.

And, beyond that, the channel also carries GT Racer, a series about historic GT racing, some Goodwood Revivals from a couple of years back, and the Isle of Mann TT, for bike fans. And, as DJ says, all in HD. Brilliant.

Yup. Sorry. Just an artifact of having lived and worked in the UK, I guess. They made us spell all kinds of things wrong. ;)

Can't say who till 'i's dotted and 't's crossed.

US and Canada don't use FIA (WRC) car classes because no homolagated cars are imported here. So Rally Mexico organizers are adding a Rally America class to the WRC event to draw local teams. Scoring will be separate and there will be one stage less than WRC rally. Won't be in TV show unless we have a spectacular crash in front of cameras.

Codrove up in Canada last weekend.

Looks great, and I hope the Mexico deal works out. But, based on what you say, I hope we won't see you on TV...
