No affiliation but someone should buy this car (http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1479801609.html) in St. Louis. Maybe davidb?

Doing the kind of resto that car should get, I don't think if it was running when it was parked or not is much of a deal-breaker. A scorpion engine won't set anyone back much in the grand scheme of things- if the new owner even wants a 1756.

That was more or less my point. For a car that's been sitting idle for years, I can't imagine anything less relevant to the discussion than "ran when parked", yet no seller of semi-derelict cars seems to be able to resist.

No, not mine. Off chance I'll take a look @ it fer 'ya all. 30 Mi.
SSW of St. Louis High Ridge is. Or my PO-seller who said: "Sure
it runs!": had two significant coolant hose leaks, leaky fuel lines-
pump barely pumped, shift linkage bars held together w/coat
hangers, engine jumped around like crazy [bad mtr. mounts],
need I continue? Oh yeah & "Nope, no rust" he said. Passenger
floor pan was kaput. I'll re-post if I look @ the gold one.

Me again. Called the seller, no answer. E-mailed same/same.
It is early T-Day morning afterall. I thought, given the pic,
being parked outside I could get directions to view the car
w/o the seller being there, Holiday & all. Maybe try again.
