I am in search of a used pair of Monte Carlo front turn signals (finales) with amber / clear lenses. Cracks OK. Converting my Scorpion bumbers to European spec. Would any European Bumper Beta signals fit ('75-'83)? Those of you who have done this conversion (DJ, etc.) Where did you source yours? New replicas are quite $$$!.

Thanks for the help or if you have a set lying about.

See pics...

If you aren't too choosy, certain Mitsubishi Galant turn signals fit nicely with correct contour but w/o white lense.

Really? That's a pretty good fit. Yes, let me know which model years of the Galant will fit. They should be easy to find here. I'll keep that as a backup plan if I don't find anything when I'm ready for the changeover.

BTW- I have the same air dam pieces that are riveted onto my Scorpi, under the bumper. Is that your Monte in the pic? I was considering a way to blend them into the new fiberglass Series 2 bumbers I have. I like that look.

The Mitsubishi part #s are MB597519 & MB597520.

Its a Scorpion w/ Montecarlo front bumper w/ the airdam molded in.

If by chance you were considering removing them to transfer them to a fiberglass monte bumper PLEASE have a mold of them taken, these have been gone for SO long... It would be great to have them circulating around again

Great idea, I had a number of questions about them at this past FLU Freakout. They came on the vehicle when I found it. I've seen pics of them on other Scorpions, so I figured it must have been a Dealer installed option. The only clear pic I have of one is from when I first brought it home, pre-restoration & paint. Should I leave the rivit holes in the molds for mounting reference or cover them over?

I got mine from Bayless years ago.

Mold them in and ditch the rivets.

Are you guys serious about the 2 piece air dams as being something some of the Scorpion group would be interested in? I bought an unused set for my pounder project Scorpion 2 years ago but now have one of the 1 piece new style MC noses coming from TMH so I have no use for this set now. I just bought a 2nd Scorpion that has this set of L shaped air dams rivitted on the bottom of it's MC nose. I have so many friggin projects I couldnt' find the time to make molds but if someone out there is doing this stuff I would be more than happy to sell them cheap to whoever might make sets up for everyone. We need to keep the parts available if there is a need. http://www.lancisti.net/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

Hey Brad, I looked on TMH and did not see a new one piece bumper-air dam on the store or in the pic gallery. Do you have a pic of what it will look like? As for the split air dams, That's interesting that they came from Bayless. I'll have to look in my old mid-80's Bayless catalog and see if they are in there. I've had quite a few Scorpion owners ask me about the ones on my Scorpion, so I'm not sure if the interest is here in the forum, but from my own experience, there seems to be.
Personally, the bumper / air-dam combo from FerrariKillers is a bit too big for my taste and potentially problematic for street use with speed bumps and steep driveway entries. I have a Alfa GTV-6 Maratona and the big fiberglass air dam on that always dragged on everything over 4 inches tall and eventually just cracked & tore off when pushing it onto a trailer after a timing belt "incident". Albeit, it is lowered 2" from US-spec to EU spec height. I've gone back to the original plastic dam on that car.
I'm checking into the molding process this week. So, I won't attach & blend them into the new Monte bumpers until a mold is taken.:D

I think I have a spare set of the Mitsubishi turn signals if your still looking. I think they're even converted to be a direct plug-in to the Scorpion wiring.
