Hi guys
I'm a newbie to the forum, but i'm just troubleshooting for my friend, who will no doubt be on here once i've told him about it. Anyway I was wondering if anyone would have an idea about what is failing in the following scenario.
Basically the car about a month ago, would cut out after about 20 minutes (a bit annoying considering he works 30 minutes away from where he lives) I changed the fuel filter and the car was 100% fine for the following two weeks. Now it's started again but not as severe.
Now it will run for as long as it needs to, BUT will refuse to restart for about 2 hours after the engine is turned off. I'm guessing that either the fuel pressure regulator is knackered, or there is a problem with the fuel pump, as these would be the only components other than the injectors that would cause this.
What would your suggestions be, and where would i get the appropriate parts?
Oh it's the 2.0 integrale 8 valve version. (Previously owned by an engineer from Brawn/BAR Honda)
