Hi Everyone. New to this site. I am going to be looking for an Evo as soon as I sell my LE Fiat Coupe. So I am looking for a little info. Does anyone know anything about the 8v Evo for sale on the Autotrader site for £5995. I have spoken to the owner but did not get much details from him. I am interested in this car but I'd love to find out more about it. I live in N.I so going to see it is not an option. If I go over, I go to take it home.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Stuart

I think that too much for an 8 valver. To be honest (sorry DJ !), the Evocars forum on Delphi is the one to look at for advice on the Integrales.

Thanks Wallace. What do you think is a realistic price for an 8v Evo.
Also what's the bhp of the swiss/German 8v Evo.

No idea !! My knowldege on Delta's is basicall b* all !!! - Delphi forums is the place to ask ! But from the odd ones I've seen on ebay, 6 grand is a getting on to be a high price for a 16 valver !
Don't forget -they're all starting to get old now - high millage, dubious history etc !!

Hi Chris. I'm selling the LE to go back to the Grale. Iv'e had 3 and can't get them out of the blood. Went for the LE just for a change.
Anyway It's for sale at £7495. If you are interested all the info and pics of it are on the FCCUK site. If you go to the cars for sale section and look for 99 Limited edition £7495 it's all there. Ideally I would like to just swap it for the right Evo. If you would like more info by all means contact me. I can supply more pics etc as required.

Hello,
Sorry but I disagree with Wallace's comment on the price of that 8V EVO, I think that it is a good price, for an EVO bodied car. Is it an EVO though? The easy way to check is that the EVO cars have a round fuel filler visble, whereas the earlier cars have a rectangular flap covering the fuel cap. A good (non EVO) 8V car will sell fairly for about 5K. A 16V for not much more, prices for full spec EVO cars (ie 16V engine) have not really setteled yet as they can vary so much condition-wise. The power output of the 8V engine is always 185-ish bhp (bit less with cat) and most people reckon that the heavier EVO body needs a bit more than that to push it along. Buying an integrale of any type is a minefield as many have been modified and abused and subsequent repair costs can be huge. If you want a good reliable car with a budget under 10K pnds then I suggest that you look for a good un-modified non EVO car.
My daily driver is an early 8V car. As I maintain it myself, it is as much as I can cope with - replacing the timing belt more frequently as "reccomended" on 16V cars would make the maintenance a pain. An 8V EVO would appeal to me maintenance-wise and I'm sure that it will be quick enough.

Hi Leo, Sorry it has to be an Evo. But I do agree the 8v version is starting to appeal. Although I must say the Evo's I had before never gave me any bother.
The one I'm after is a real Evo. I'm hopefully getting it checked out in the next couple of days. I only wish I could find further info on it.. :)

Sorry ! I did say I didn't know much about them . . ! Just seem to remember comng across them on ebay for less - but then, that isn't the final price..
Still seems a lot though.
Now I KNOW is isn't even close - and will get chewed for this - BUT - the 16 valve 2.0 Tipo's (ok, front wheel drive only, no turbo, etc etc etc) can go for less than £500. .. .

Wallace the car I had before the LE was a Sedicivalvole Tipo. :D I absolutely loved it. I only sold it because I was getting the LE. The parts Manager of my local Fiat dealers bought it because he knew the car was well cared for. That and the fact that he got me any parts that were looking a bit tired.

I've always been tempted to get one ! I have a tipo1.4 for an everyday car - I wouldn't say I love it - but it does work very well - and no rust with the zinc coating either !
What wouldn't bother me with the Tipo is a high mileage one - the engine is an easy rebuild and the gearbox hasn't any funny viscous couplings to worry about . . . .but the Monte is seriously swallowing up any spare cash and time I have already !
But I suppose it is only front wheel drive - and it didn't exactly win many WRC !
