Well my Dedra Turbo is having some problems, so i'm asking you experts what it could be.

It's leaking oil from the left side (if you are looking at the front of the car), but what alerted me the most was that the spark plug holes (where the cables are and the plugs are fitted) were filled with oil.

What it could be? Any hole in the engine? Maybe a manifold?

Also i get a red signal on the dash, it's a circle with a car drifting uncontrolled...i think it's related with the ABS. It's always on, so i guess something must be bust on the ABS system?

Last question...where can i locate the front water sprinkler? Mine's bust and want to know why..because rain season is starting and i do need the sprinkler :D

Cheers all!

The oil could be coming from the rocker covers I guess. It would run down into the space between them and into the plug holes.

Thanks for the reply mikey!

Well i've found out what is it.

It was a crack from the (dunno how you say it in English, i'll try to "translate") valve cover lid. The one that says "Lancia" on the top.

After i sealed it and filled to the brim with Castrol GTX 10W40, it was perfect...no more leaks and the plugs are all dry.

I tool +/- 65 ml of oil from the plugs with a seringe!:D:cheers:

Hi Pedro,
I take it you mean the headlamp washer pump? do you have the headlamp wipers of the early cars or just the high pressure jets mounted on the front bumper?
For both types the washer motor is a push fit into the front of the washer bottle, there are 2 pumps if you have the headlamp wipers.
The symbol you have is the ABS Malfunction light and it could be any one of a number of problems, however the first thing I would check is the sensors mounted by each hub and make sure these are clean, if dirt gets between the sensor and the phonic wheel (disc with a grooves fitted to hub) it can cause the ABS light to come on, have you checked that the ABS is working? you can do this by braking hard on gravel or a wet surface, you do NOT having to be going fast!!

Thanks for the reply Brian.

No, not those sprinklers, i mean the front windshield wiper! The main ones..:D

The motor doesn't even activate. I hear a click on the fuse box when i press the lever to activate it, but it won't sprinkle any water to the windshield. :x

Nop, the ABS doesn't work...it might be the brake pads? They're completely worn out..it's almost braking with the disks. I press hard and it doesn't kick back or anything..and it locks on gravel!

Cheers

Hi Pedro
sounds like it might be the pump itself, do you have the 2 pumps in the wash bottle? if so change the wash hoses over to the other pump and see if it works then, if it does, you need a new wash pump, (if you only have one then it's probably worth changing it anyway), if not we need to look further as everything from here on are electrical checks which personally I'm not that good at  but I can send you the diagnostic information from the workshop manual.
Where are you based as I could burn you a copy of the manual to CD and post it?

ABS.
From what you say the ABS is not working at all.
I think you need to get some new pads in there pretty quick, besides the safety issues, the brake caliper and ABS components are very costly and could probably cost more than the value of the car if damaged, last ABS caliper I bought about 15 years ago cost best part of £200 at the time, and even having one rebuilt will cost that sort of money in todays market.
As far as the Dedra Turbo is concerned I don't have a manual specific to Turbo, only non turbo and there are differences between the two, but the diagnostics should help.
As a point of interest there are two different systems for non turbo cars.
