Folks,
In an idle moment earlier this evening  I had a squint through Guy Crofts website www.guy-croft.com and he has produced, in association with a well known UK exhaust specialist, a new 4-1 manifold suitable for all Betas...... looks a lovely piece of kit.
Go have a look at the website, apart from all the other Twincam goodies Guy has on offer the exhaust alone is worth having a look at for all Beta enthusiasts. The price is on the parts pricelist page (oddly enough :!: ) and there are a few specials that might be worth considering.

Surprised no-one else has had a go at this, as CSC seem to have ceased production of their manifold

Hamish,

Where did you find out about CSC not producing the Beta manifold anymore?

I ordered one based on price from the following website over a month a go
http://www.su-racing.dk/

They are listed as a supplier on the CSC website.

They have told me that the factory will be sending it this week, but I haven't heard anything, I have sent them 343 Euros (including postage).

Looks very nice Hamish, however at some £681 inc vat, I think I'll give that one a wide berth !

I had a pd gough exhaust on my dedra turbo some years ago cost £££££s but was fantastic quality and was as good as the day it was made when I sold the car.........I had a cheaper stainless exhaust on my 2000hf it was gradually noisier and noisier after the first 2000 or so miles and never did fit quite right....draw your own conclusions!

Colin - I sent an email and was told that CSC weren't making them anymore, just 'new old stock' lying around the place. However, my 'source' has been known to be wrong before.....

As far as the Gough/Croft manifold goes - I guess you gets what you pays for - fair comment it's a lot of cash but it should last a lifetime, possibly longer than the car itself :!:

I got sick of having the manifold gasket blowing so I got Magoo mufflers in Dunedin to make up a set of Extractors.

They look great (mandrel bent so no restrictions) and I just dropped the car off and picked up later all complete for just over $NZ300.

For those elsewhere thats 100 GBP or $US180

Hi Graeme,

Good to see another VX owner on here from NZ.

I've never heard of Magoo mufflers, sounds like a very reasonable price for your manifold.

My CSC manifold should be here this week, at last (only about 5 months since I ordered!). The delay was due to the CSC factory having to make a special production for it (they don't make them any more) and they were closed over their summer break.

I did try to get one made here at a local muffler place, but they would not touch a VX manifold.

The manifold arrived today, it looks good.

Must be a South Island franchise only.

The Dunedin one has the necessary gear to manufacture them and they get plenty of practice with the specials down this way. They were the first place I tried on a friends recommendation so I didn't realise it was such a drama getting one made.
