Appia PF Coupe Front Windscreen/Windshield Needed!

Dear Fellow Lancia Enthusiasts -

I bought a 1961 Series 3 Lancia Appia PininFarina Coupe to restore, almost 20 years ago. I was just a foolish kid... The car was most notably missing its windscreen, and I decided I would not begin any restoration until I found one. Well, after a year or so, I located one, and the owner planned to meet me at Carlisle with it. But sadly, I lost contact with the seller before arrangements were finalised. I believe the seller was Mike Christic. Well, after over a dozen years, I have just returned to the search. Two days ago I learned that Mike Christic has passed away, and perhaps his parts inventory has been lost...

This Lancia has sat for decades forlorn and unrestored (but at least in a dry storage) as not having a windshield makes restoration impossible. Does anyone have a spare to sell, a parts car, or any leads on one? Please help! Many thanks in advance.

If you are talking about Mike Kristick (717.292.2962), it would indeed be a great loss to the Lancia community if he is gone.

But I have not heard or seen this news elsewhere, and he just this week sent me some parts.

Paul, that's absolutely true and completely untrue.

There are two generations of Mike Kristicks: the younger, who races a Fulvia, and the elder, who handles Lancia spares. But there was a third, the grandfather, who passed away about two years ago; that's the "news" you just heard. I spoke to Mike K (elder) last Friday, and Adan tells me he spoke to him around Tuesday. So I'd take Shaun's advice and call him about the Appia PF screen.

Thanks everyone, I can see this is a great forum. MY APOLOGIES for causing any confusion... As a Lancia person told me this news, and I had found Mike's old number was no longer in service a few years ago, I had no other way to verify. Was the grandfather also involved with Lancia? Imagine three generations of Lancisti in one family!

I am also glad that indeed Mike is among the living, and now I only hope it was indeed Mike who had the windshield, and still does, as I had been talking to a couple Lancia enthusiasts back then...
