I suspect mine is acting flaky. Tests okay but? Our vendors say
NLA. Google was unproductive. Part is: 0 280 140 120. Ideas?
Irregular idle @ start-up until things warm-up, characteristic
A.A.V. issue: baffle plate [pie hole], bi-metal strip, etc. Thanks.

Also contact matt.scarton@gmail.com. He recently posted on Mirafiori that has an NOS one available. Was asking $130.00 but indicated he would match any better price as indicated in the links above.
You can easily test yours by putting it in the freezer to see how wide it opens, then heating it to see how far it closes. They can be adjusted a bit with the little screw on the side.
Also, make sure you have the restrictor fitting in place in the crankcase vent hose. If you don't you'll get way too much bypass air being sucked into the intake and that can affect the idle.

Thanks much D.J.. By restrictor fitting you mean that spiral
brass thing some people call a flame trap/anti-backfire trap?
I have a new one of those.

Nope. I mean the little pipe-like fitting. It has a restrictor in the center with a small hole and has what appears to be a small water line that wraps around the center in a "U" shape.

Yes that mystery "U tube fitting has the restictor in place. Back
side is where I put in the brass spiral flame trap. The backbone,
center has one tip longer than the other which [I assume] is to
be inserted in the restrictor hole. THE BACK SIDE! 1ST time I
put the brass spiral thingie on the FRONT end, it was promptly
sucked thru the throttle flap & now resides w/i my plenum
chamber/body somewhere. So I got a 2ND. Gotta luv these cars!
Likely pull the head sometime soon so I'll fish out the 1ST brass
flame trap spiral from the plenum @ that time. More Beta fun ...

No luck w/the 1ST two hot links you sent, Miafiori was a dud
too [as per my P.M.]. It's an "obsolete" part, NLA. Early '80s
3 series BMWs had a similiar valve. They've gotta be out there.
Thanks D.J. .

Try here (http://www.worldimpex.com/parts/bosch-auxiliary-idle-air-control-02801_916633.html). Or just use Google like I did.

keep checking ebay not just US but worldwide when I had a Y10 GTie I eventually picked up a brand new bosch one that would do the job for less than £10 that's less that $20 whilst they are meant to be installation specific I don't think a slightly incorrect one is worse than a dud one. Certainly perked the Y10 up and stopped it's mystery random stalling antics
