Hi

I have just ordered some repair panels for my HF.

I have ordered these from "Bill Lewis" who is based in Shropshire (tel: 01630 661449) Bill makes all the pieces himself

The prices are very reasonable,
Here are a few examples:

Full Length outer sill @ £25 inc each
Rear lower wing bottom corner @ £45 inc each
Rear front subframe boxes @ £45 per pair inc

I will post an update when they arrive but he knows what he is talking about

Regards

How does he fabricate the two "wings" on the sills that disappear under the actual wing and tie in to the front and rear box section bulk heads for £25?

You can see the front location pretty clearly in the second photo, the back is hard to make out but similar.

I have only seen sills that replace the visible element at that price- be sure you are getting the full sill.

It's also worth asking what the thickness is. The ones from Automobilia are pressed, very accurate and 1.25mm thick (I measured my original ones at 1mm) which makes them almost twice as stiff.

Blimey that seems cheap compared to Omicron at £100 per sill (inner and outer) - so £400 for the set.....all of which I need!

How did you hear about him?

Just spoke to Bill - all I can say is - if anyone needs any panels, give this chap a call and he can tell you about his background and also who he makes panels for.

Will certainly be ordering the things I need from him.

I have not actually seen what I will be getting yet but it was "Fulvia Sport" that put me on to Bill. I am told his panels are excellent and all made at home as a part time hobby. I will post photos as items arrive.

I have just ordered sills without end cones for my HF as only have a small amount of rot in centre of sill & inners look good.
Not sure about Beta panels but I believe he makes parts for all classic Lancias!

Regards

Here are a few other "Fulvia" example prices from Bill:

BOOT FLOOR WITH TANK RECESS £115
BOTTOM WING REPAIR PANEL £25
REAR PANEL £115
REAR LOWER VALANCE £115
SILLS WITH END CONES £80 each
SILLS WITHOUT END CONES £25 each
FRONT HALF WING HF £80
REAR HALF WING HF £90
FRONT HALF WING 1300 £65
REAR HALF WING 1300 £75

If you've got no rot at the joints then that seems very reasonable. I got a rear panel off him a couple of years ago and it fitted a treat.

I think he supplies panels to Omicron (or used to).

Just a word of advise for anyone doing the rear panels - keep the old one as the new ones have no holes in for the badges and you will need it as a template, and yes...I did remember to keep mine ;)

I had all my Fulvia Sport panels from Bill. I cannot praise his work too highly. I have spent many an hour transfixed as to his skill in metalworking. His prices are remarkably reasonable, especially when you see the quality.

Does Bill Lewis have a website or an e-mail adress?
I need some panels for both of my Fulvia coupe 2nd series 1.3S

Hi,

Bill does not have a website nor does he advertise. I know him pretty well and if you PM me exactly what you need I can give him a call. I would rather not post his private phone No without his permission.

Hi

For those of you that have been asking here are some pictures of Bill`s panels.
These items arrived today for my HF & all look excellent.

I will be fitting the sills & lower rear wing repair panels over the next couple of weeks so will add some more pictures and let you know how it goes. Value for money is 10/10!

Not sure putting Bill's phone No up without asking him was that good an idea really.

I've deleted the phone number for now. You may re-enter it later if you wish after verifying that it's OK to post. Just being proactive because we do get a lot of automated web bots reaping info from our forums.

I'm doing some things to upgrade the site in the near future and hope to have a "links" module. If Bill wishes, I'm happy to have him listed here as a vendor.

Ugh, I missed the phone # while it was up, can someone who has it check to see if it's ok with him to PM it to me? I'm in LA and sending him a letter seems like a silly thing to do.
