I must have about 3 pounds of LB wiring diagrams ,subsystems and all things electrical but I cannot find a fuse number amperage listing among the pile.
My 79 wiring diagram refers to a document 9.00.000, relays and fuses, which I do not have . There was no response to my request for one when I posted it recently. The 81-82 book does not have one either. All the fuses are 8 or 16 amp but there is no consistancy to their use that I can see. If anyone has any kind of a listing or rule of thumb for what is used where please post it.

According to the photocopied owner's manual that came with my '79 Zag and as fitted in my fusebox, fuses 1-7 are 8 amp (white), and fuses 8-16 are 16 amp (red), counting from the outboard end inward. I can type out the list of what fuses are for which circuits, if you need.
Speaking of fuses, I recently had a red 16 amp fuse melt, cutting the radiator fan, so I nearly overheated sitting in a drive-thru. I thought the middle part was supposed to be ceramic? Maybe they're using some heat-resistant plastic now, but apparently not resistant enough! It was the style with the gripper ridges moulded into the sides (Buss brand, I think?); I replaced it with a competing brand (Littelfuse) that looks more straight-sided and ceramic-y, and so far, so good.

Thanks Tye
I would appreciate having that list. All I have is the 81-82 fuse number and function, No amps. I would like to be able to compare things.I just checked my 79 and 1 through 7 and 16 are 8 amp while the rest are 16 amp
I just ordered some fuses from the guy on Ebay who has the original ceramic with brass or copper fuse wire depending on amps. Both cars are going to get a complete new set.

My owners manual for the 82 shows furs 1-7 to be 8A, number 8 as 5A, numbers 9-16 as 16A.
