I cannot seem to locate the common diamond shaped ground pictured on the wiring diagram. Where is it located ?? I hope not behind the A/C heater unit.

Check your E-mail, but, one under each headlight bucket and one behind the instrument pod. Normally the one behind the instruments never needs attention unless you have a windshield leak

Thanks Jim.
I found them and unhooked all the grounds .I removed the rosette pedals and wire brushed them to remove any gunge. On the Fiats I normally replace all the connectors but I did not see any of the tell tale green . I reconnected all the grounds after shooting a bit of dialectric silicone grease into them. I got two of my problems solved but I still have no right side lights, low beams and a/c compressor, carb valve or radio. I may pull the dash tomorrow and check those as well.
I DESPERATELY NEED THE RELAY AND FUSE DIAGRAM FOR THE 79 ZAGATO. I have the 79 sedan electric shop manual but it is not the same and neither is the 81/82 Zag manual I have because of the FI. I do have the 79 red owners manual but that references another document
Does anyone have that info ???????

I have a factory 79 Beta wiring diagram book 81/2 x 11 that has the plastic binder and all the pages fold out and is color coded. I am too much of a knuckle-dragger to figure out how to scan that so I could at least make a copy and mail it to you. It is in like new condition except for my grubby prints on some of the pages as I grumble and peruse it myself. ': It has separate pages for the different models so this should work and also has the relay stuff...I have another foldout deal that shows the vacuum diagrams, also in color w/ their locations etc.

Thanks...
DJ has responded off line that he has the 79 information and will send it to me tomorrow. If I need anything else I will get in touch with you after I look at what he sent.

Ok. Adding a little detail about the ground behind the dash it consists of 11 spade terminals in a "std diamond formation" (like in Die Hard-hoho) that face towards the glovebox. They are in a horizontal CL w/ the dash pod and is attached on the right side of the steering column support sheet metal almost up against the firewall. Thought describing the location would help since there is so much stuff to sort thru under there.

Thanks. I pulled the instrument cluster and got to them. I wirebrushed the diamond and shot dialectric paste into each of the connectors. They did not look bad but since I am searching for the cause of some circuit failures I wanted to be absolutely sure of ALL the grounds first.
