Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself to the Lancisti.
My name's David Micallef, living in North West Tasmania, Australia.
I have recently become the proud owner of a 81 Lancia Beta Coupe 2000, found the old girl sitting in the work shed of a customer looking lonely and forlorn. A week later i parted with the princely sum of $500 and drove her home. She needs some work...rust around front and rear screens and bottom corner of r/h door, oil pressure low, gear selectors, brakes, interior re-trim. But otherwise a sound and drivable car, with typical italian style and grace.
She now sits alongside my 68 Fiat 1500 mk.III, another beauty with 1800 DOHC conversion and 5 speed. Just love those Italian girls!!
It's a pleasure to be a member of your forum and I look forward to chatting with you and learning more.
regards, David.
