No it's not a Lancia, but it'll tow a bunch of them all at the same time! I think the price is a steal! I know the truck VERY well! it's my brother's (the spare original "numbers matching" engine at his mother-in-laws is 1/2 mile from my house, you can see her house from mine), he is every bit if not more anal than I am so you can be assured, it really doesn't need anything and is very well dialed in. It is more than he describes it to be.

For one, he forgto to mention that "before" he put the HP Mopar crate engine in and did all the trans, suspension and rear end work, it was already the fastest production vehical made in the USA in 1978, YES! it was faster than the Chevy Corvette!....REALLY!

It was also rated as a heavy hauler from the factory, so what does that mean you ask? NO EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES REQUIRED!......EVER!, never had any, never has to! even in California!

The Redneck exhaust stacks are original equipment, not an add on.......just so ya know! ha ha, actually, it's all original except the driveline upgrades, which costs almost as much as he is asking for the truck. The sound from the exhaust alone will get your heart pumping, and it has that cammed up cackidy cakidy idle sound, SWEET! and with the suspension upgrades, it drives almost like a sports car.

If it wasn't for our situation here at home, it would already be in our garage, I swear!

Jim, I didn't know WTF you were describing until I read "redneck exhaust Stacks" and that meant it could only be one thing! :)

I have had a couple of the early 80's Rams (D150?) longbeds etc. before moving to Fords and I like those trucks. They don't rust easily, they are made from actual steel instead of a cat food can, and they have just the right amount of ground clearance- you can slide under them to work but you don't need a ladder to get in or have to pick stuff up to chest level to put it in the bed. There used to be a couple of those LRE's running around here, haven't seen one in a few years though. Good luck on the sale!

Price reduced to $12K asking, U-Tube video walk around link as well as more info links added, just click on the link above and then the tab on page for video link, I haven't seen it myself, (26.4 kbps max dialup connection here, took over an hour to download just the first 1-1/2 min of the thing so I canceld out), but I understand he does a nice tire roasting at the end of it......need to go o my parents and watch it on wireless

I may take him up on his offer to me, I need a truck, no really, I do! but I am not sure it would be morally right to haul mulch, dirt and lumber in it! ha ha ha, if the wife had a job, I would have already had it in my garage

78 Lil Red Express, low miles, it's my brother's and he has more in the performance parts than the current bid which has met the reserve.

Item # 120447802624

My only additional comments I have to offer other than I wish I could afford it are that I didn't see him mention in his auction the truck is lowered 2 inches and the new rear springs were custom built and has one leaf reversed to give the truck a car like ride instead of the neck whip lashing rear bounce of most pickups, this makes it squat a bit more than a normal truck when you load the bed until it gets onto the heavy load bearing leafs but for just cruising, it makes for a great comfortable ride, so towing from right to wrong coast for events can be done in comfort. Also, this one has the very rare factory bucket seats making it even that much more comfortable on longer drives!
