Does anyone have a method of removing the bolts on the camshaft pulleys when the head is on the bench.I am looking to replace the oil seals behind them.I did this years ago when I had the Beta Coupe, but for the life of me,I can't remember.
Many thanks in advance John

Impact wrench and leather gloves to hold the gear.

In the absence of an impact wrench, you can either go with two lengths of straight bar, clamped together between the wheels, or I have used an oil filter wrench (the belt type and not the bike chain type) before now, although not ideal.
I got an electric impact wrench on ebay if you haven't got a compressor. Good luck!

An update on an earlier post. After 15 min on each one with an impact wrench the bolts came undone.Couldn't believe how tight they were,
I did notice that the pulleys were fibre.I have a couple of spare heads and the pulleys are metal.I suppose the fibre ones are a lot lighter.

Thanks for the tip about using a filter strap,I had been trying to hold it with the old belt.
