OK, I am here, different username (from the AlfaBB). NYC represented. Hello to all the worldwide Lancisti and of course my LA/CA friends(especially Ed and Adan)!
Please anyone even close to NYC lets get together. We also have the best roads here for pleasure driving -not to mention real DINERS for eating.
I have my '66 2C now for almost a year and trying to enjoy it(I am). My car is a well loved 2C here on the East coast and was owned by my friend and fellow Italian car collector here. Very original and well used and sorted. My 32 Solexes just purrr. I have just done some safety repairs(master-clutch-cables etc) and ready to enjoy and do some cosmetic stuff.
My first experience with Lancias was in 1978 when my fathers friend had just bought a Stratos in that lime green color(Ed, correct color name-I know you can't resist). Gave me a short ride and that was it. One of the best looking modern(still) shapes next to the Lambo LP400(periscope). My father had/grew up with a Maserati Meraek SS from '82-85. Had a few Alfas and many German cars(still have my Porsche 912). I am an artist here in NYC and restore early Porsches here also(all 356/early 911-912).
Any help I can do here on this side of the US please ask! To all my UK friends come visit, NYC is closer than LA.
