Hi All,
This is my first post here, although I've been a member for a while. I am currently constructing a replica 1974 "works" Lancia-Marlboro Beta Coupe rally car for use in Classic rally events in Australia & one day hopefully New Zealand.
The car was a very sound 1983 3rd series vehicle (except for the doors!), which I have been converting to a 1974 series 1. I have just about everything I need now, including a nice pair of Carello driving lights, the correct bumper bars, grille, etc.
The rollcage has just recently been completed by others, and hopefully I'll be repainting the interior this weekend.
It has been an interesting project with a few hurdles along the way. Anyone interested in progress photo's can check out my thread on classicrallycars.com, an Australian Classic Rally car site.

Cheers for now,
Jeff

Welcome, Jeff. Great to have you here!

FWIW, you can also create personal photo albums here for all to see.

Thanks DJ,
As soon as I get a spare moment one evening, I'll upload some photo's of the project. It's coming along nicely, just been painting the rollcage this morning, and preparing to spray the turret, ready for the windscreen to go back in.

Back to the shed....

I'm interested, can you provide direct links for those of too lazy to forage for ourselves (or those of us on our sixth Rob Roy)?

Thanks!

Thanks for that direct link, it caught my eye and now I have another site to frequent.

Jeff, Im SO envious of your project - both in the results and the pace you have managed to keep on it. I'll be checking the thread to follow you through it all.

I have my hands full of Scorpion right now, but someday I'll have me another B Coupe. Hope there are a couple left by then.

Thanks Sean,
It has been a labour of love... I just hope she lives up to my expectations in the "bush", sorry "forest".

Hopefully the bonnet (hood) will be finished this weekend. I was very fortunate to have a good friend in the signmaking business, and he organised all the decals for $0.00. I just had to purchase the Marlboro font (Neo Contact for those interested) online, and give him the dimensions and it's all come up very nice.

My shopping list has been shortened and all I need now is:
Inlet manifold for twin 40mm Dellortos (already have those)
Gp3 Fibreglass flares
Early Series Drivers side mirror and quarter glass.
The period steering wheel.
Suspension.

Thanks for you're encouragement!!
