I think Chris Obert might still have a set. Should be a good looking wheel on the Scorp; I considered it too. Iirc, you'll likely have to used spacers to get the offset right-ish.
Hope that helps.

Hey, HURRAH a post on Easter! God forbid what Obert would
charge. My favorite Scorp wheel is Compi 5-spoke Daytonas.
Damn they look sharp on Scorps [to my eye]. My Scorp came
w/almost new BWA 13" multi-spoke wheels. I don't like their
appearance but they did match the small footwell POLK speak-
ers [grills] I bought from Crutchfield. Quite odd. Later friends.

Yea, I would prefer these to most other options. I will have to space just about any wheel I buy from what I can tell. If I don't stumble on a set of these or Maserati BiTurbo wheels I will likely just get some adapters made and run a 4x100 Volkswagen rim of some sorts.

Actually, when I spoke to him about a set of Ronals for the Scorp, I thought the price was quite reasonable and Chris was very helpful.

A bit too F-car-wannabee for me. I agree they look good, but I don't like the potential poser aspect they have for a car which is very handsome in it's own right without the need for visual arrows pointing at any Ferrari connection. But it might just be me. :D

As for #1: Great [w/Obert]. As for #2 I see your point John O.
w/the Ferrari connect. I've always like the appearance of those
wheels. They look aggressive to me. In this day & age I sorely
doubt anyone other than old-timers like us would recognize them
as being basically Ferrari wheels from back when. I vote for
almost anything other than the factory "bow-tie" wheels. Their
only saving grace was ease of cleaning. Spokes are hellish.

I think we're in easy agreement on that point!

My new wheels are pretty similar with that "phone-dial" look. I've never really viewed them as Ferrari-ish. Instead I view them more as 037-ish.
Funny thing is, I always liked the "bow-ties" and lots of people over the years have commented on them quite favorably over the years. I just wanted something a little more versatile than 13-inchers.

I thonk he meant the Daytonas are Ferrari-ish, although not exactly because they have the wonky 4 -bolt hub. The Compomotives (TS) are similar, you really need a 5-bolt hub to aestetically work with a 5-spoke wheel correctly IMO, unless it has a bolt cover.

DJ, I love Lucia's wheels, they are probably my most favorite - Im with you on the 037 reference as well. Being as 'enthusiastic' of a project as this car appears, I will not be able to splurge on brand new wheels for a while.
I have to at least keep it real. The value of my wheels can not exceed the overall value of the car itself. When a Jap car does that its a ricer, German car - Kraut... What would it be if it were an Italian car?

Yep, I meant the Daytonas. I also agree about 4-bolts on a five spoke wheel being a bit esthetically off-putting, but I'm more bothered by the F-car poser problem. If a Scorp or Monte wheel choice is going to (accidentally or intentionally) aim a visual arrow pointing to another car, then there is clear justification to insinuate a connection to the 037 ...and DJ's Volumex wheels do the job nicely. The Ronals would as well.

I got no problem w/Daytona wheels rendering a Scorp [Monte]
Ferrari-esque. Heard more than once people calling a Scorp
a poor man's Ferrari. Dino I suppose. V-6 246 I guess, not the
V-8 308 series. Whatever. Few things more a matter of individual,
personal male taste than wheel styles.

It's a funny thing. I think Fiat's PR people used to have a key on their typewriters which automatically typed out "poor man's Ferrari" or "Little Ferrari". I've seen vintage ads for just about every model of Fiat where the featured car is quoted by someone as being Ferrari like.
