Advice on Removal of End Vent

I don't want to damage it. I see that there are some tabs on the front/bottom of the vent. Could someone please tell me how I may carefully remove the part. Thanks again. Allan

I usually start by reaching up under the dash and remove the duct connected to the back of the vent. Then, I squeeze the top and bottom of the vent and gently rock it until the tabs release. Sometimes it's necessary to use a small pick through the face of the vent to help release the tabs.

Has anyone had the same experience as I have, in that the vent ducts seem to be made of the same material as the dash pad support? They literally crumbled to pieces when I removed mine. Caution is advised.
