Hi all,
I just finnished doing the pushed in bumper mod.
It sure changes the look of the car.
Any way if any one is thinking of doing this, it is easy.
The bumper shocks are under pressure but no large volumes.
Take a 1/8" drill and drill a hole 1/2" back of the front mount FIRST to relieve the pressure and then do the same at the rear but put a rag over the hole while drilling. This is because the oil has some pressure and it will splatter. Carefully push all the oil out and re install the bumper.
Now you will have bumpers that don't stick out. Then you will have to trim the ends to mate with the sides and make things look good.
Done.
Check out the pics in my album.

Cheers

Good going. I think you'll find if you drill a hole in the END of the shock, and tap the hole, you can push some, not all of the oil out and re-plug the hole, which would allow some of the original protection to be retained, as it still leaves a little travel in the tube.
