i am new to lancia's a mate and myself have just acquired a 1984 beta coupe volumex in mid restoration the guy who owned it has given up on it all it needs is a repaint and putting back together it has had the rear suspension all replaced new, front has been overhauled the car is totally rust free and it has been under sealed and all box sections have been waxoyled the car was going to be scrapped until we happened upon it the seats have been reupholstered in the original material from Italy we also have a lancia workshop manual and a Haynes manual but neither cover the volumex so any help would be greatly welcomed

Hi Tony and welcome!
7 kids?! your either Catholic, (scene from Monty Python in my mind), or a glutten for punishment! LOL, <just kidding, I realize some are hers and some are your's, (grin)>

Sounds like you happened apon a dream basket case! I am green with envy. You'll get help here, some are slow to respond and now that spring is here, maybe even slower! <smile>, Lancia Betas tend to be rare, and since VX's are even more rare, many of your VX specific questions have to wait for one of those guys to get online.

I think you should look around, (vendors, eBay, webs ites, fellow Beta and VX owners), for the VolumeX supplimental manual, and maybe even a Guy Croft Twin Cam book. Your car is only different in a few mechanical and minor trim areas. That said, be perpared for some things that are unique to the VX to cost you, they are a rare bird.

Good luck with it and keep us up on the progress

Welcome, Tony! I hope you find this forum to be of use to you with your new Lancia project/journey.

Make sure to check out the downloads section for documents that you may find useful. In particular we do have one VX-specific technical document here (http://www.lancisti.net/index.php?ind=downloads&op=entry_view&iden=17).
