I found a VERY nice 75 Beta 1800 coupe. I test drove it and found it to have a very compliant ride, and a great engine. I was wondering if later fule injected 2000 cc models felt any different, in eithr ride or engine response. I was thinking I would want a Zagato, in particular. The Beta is nice, but it has no A/C which is a must for me.
Thanks

The FI Zagato is slightly quieter, idles smoother, and makes less emissions than the carbed version. There's a marginal increase in horsepower, but not enough to realize.
Most of the Zagatos I have seen do have AC, although they are such open cars it is rarely needed unless you are in a hot climate.

OK, Will will jump on me for this but WHY would anyone want a 1800 Zagato that is looking for AC :)
I have 1800 spiders and 2 liter Scorpion and the 2 liter zagato. I love the 2 liter FI zagato WITH factory air. To day it is 90 degrees here and the Zagato runs all over town with the AC on and very nice cool air blowing on my fact :) No it is not as good as the Cadilac BUT its a lot more fun to drive and one of the best AC systems I have seen on foreign cars of this vintage ( parden the use of the word foreign :)
If you want a car with AC and you want a Zagato, 2 liter is the only practical way. :) my 2 cents. O and it is very very peppy.

I'd want an 1800 Zagato- since they only built....four?
All the Zagatos you are likely to see are 2L units. No 1800's- that's the Coupe. Zagatos are either 2L carbed or 2L FI.
There was a 1600 in the UK, and my favorite of all, the S1 spider, came in either 1600 or 1800- no 2L.
so, to answer Allen's Q- I'd want an 1800 (if I ran across one) based on rarity, as it's either one of only a few built for testing, or a non-US market car.

OK OK so you got me again. But the Lancia Coupe/Spider/Zagao with the 2 liter engine is a better Air Conditioned car :)
However it got a bit hotter today and the AC is lacking compared to the Cadilac But the car is SOooooo much fun :)
